Inside Our Factory: How a Wholesale Lingerie Order Is Made

Most wholesale buyers have never seen how their products are actually made — which is exactly why choosing a factory feels like a leap of faith. Here is what happens inside our factory in Taizhou, China from the moment you confirm an order to the day it ships. Knowing the process helps you know what to expect, and what to ask for.

Step 1: Fabric and trim sourcing (Days 1–3)

Every order starts in our fabric library: lace, satin, mesh, powernet, sequins, trims. For stock styles, fabric is already in house, so production starts immediately. For custom orders, we source your specified fabrics and confirm swatches before anything is cut. This is why custom orders have their own lead times — the fabric decides the schedule.

Step 2: Pattern and grading (Days 3–7)

For stock styles, patterns are ready. For OEM orders (your design), our pattern team builds the pattern from your drawings or sample, then grades it into the size run — including true plus-size grading, not scaled-up versions. You receive a digital or physical sample to approve before bulk production.

Step 3: Cutting (Days 7–9)

Fabric is laid, patterns placed for maximum yield, and cut in stacks. Our cutting team marks and separates each size so nothing gets mixed in the next stage. This is where fabric waste is controlled — and where your cost per piece is locked in.

Step 4: Sewing and assembly (Days 9–18)

The heart of production. Sewing lines assemble each piece in sequence: lining, lace application, boning channels for corsets, hardware (hooks, zips, rings), and final stitching. Each line has a dedicated QC pass at the end of every stage — not one check at the end, but checks throughout. Step 5: Quality control and inspection (Days 18–20)

Every order passes our 10-point inspection: fabric defects, stitching tension, size measurements, hardware function, lace alignment, trims attachment, color consistency, packaging, labeling, and final visual check. Orders for overseas markets also get a pre-shipment inspection report you can review.

Step 6: Packing and shipping (Days 20–25)

Finished goods are folded, tagged (your labels if private label), packed in poly bags or gift boxes, and cartoned. Then it's yours: FOB China or DDP to your door, by sea (25–40 days to the US/EU) or air freight. We send photos of the packed order and the shipping documents before goods leave.

What buyers should ask their factory

• "Can I see the production line on a video call?" — A real factory says yes.
• "Where is my order in the production schedule?" — You should get a straight answer, not silence.
• "What QC checks happen before shipping?" — You should get a list, not a slogan.
• "Can I see photos of my packed order?" — You should get them, every time.
